Silver's aunt and uncle didn't argue about her leaving their house, but Ari sure did. "What do you mean, she has to move in with you! You will do no such thing! I forbid it!"

The child was indifferent to the outburst, not caring either way.

"I will not worry about finding my student if I have time to train her." Tekeshi stated. His mask was back on his face and it was just now that the child took the time to really study him. She already knew about his red hair and green eyes, but his mask was one symbolizing a dog and if she had learned anything about Shinobi No Mono, that meant loyalty and ferocity. He wore the standard attire, of black pants and a dark red vest, with a katana hanging on his back. His boots were black and from what she could tell, they ended just past his ankles.

"Silver." said child looked up at him, "Go pack your things and pack light."

She nodded, before disappearing into her room, but not without hearing Ari first. "You will do no such thing, you aren't leaving. I am not losing my favorite cousin again!" Thus, another argument ensued, Ari's temper raging and Tekeshi simply replying matter-of-factly, which only made the girl's anger increase.

When Silver walked out a few seconds later, both had stopped yelling, but Ari was still glaring at him, with an 'if-you-hurt-her-you're-dead' look. The child only had a small bag on her shoulders and a small stuffed, grey cat in her arms. The cat had been badly burned by fire, but her sensei didn't bother to keep her from bringing it.

The two walked in silence to the headquarters, Silver cautiously watching everything to make sure that she knew where she was, but she was in the Shinobi No Mono sector of the village, she hadn't been allowed back here. The sound of whistling caught her attention, making her jump back. Though there was no need, as her sensei blocked the incoming projectile. 'She can sense danger and react to it well. That's a good thing. Perhaps this will be easier than I originally thought.' "What do you want?" he asked the owner of the shuriken.

"You know it's forbidden for gennin to be here. Why is she here?" a female voice replied, her face was hidden from Silver and soon the rest of her was as well.

Tekeshi had moved to stand between her and the kunoichi. "The council has ordered that I become her sensei and I do not have time to chase her around. She will be staying with my squad."

"If she appears outside of your headquarters unattended, she will face dire consequences." The voice seemed to fade slightly, "Is that understood?"

"Understood ma'am." He replied, before continuing to lead her towards her new home, the other Shinobi No Mono was gone and Silver felt that it wasn't the right time to ask about her. The rest of the trip was uneventful. He eventually stopped in front of a building with a large nine on it. 'Well, now I know I can find this place if I get lost, just look for the nine.' she thought as her sensei opened the door, motioning for her to enter.

Inside, the walls were all bare, roughly painted over with white while the doors were black. He led her down the hall to a set of stairs, of which he went to the second floor of the building, about every thirty feet there was another door, on either side of the hall. She counted fifteen doors in this hall, seven on each side of the hall and one at the end. She watched as her new sensei opened the door at the end of the hall, reveling a large room, with a closet, a bathroom and a small kitchen. It was sparsely furnished, holding only a bed, a chest of drawers, a nightstand and table with a few chairs. As something shiny was suddenly dangling in front of her eyes, she jumped back a few feet. "This is the key to your room." She looked at him confusedly as he walked out the door and made a right turn, before unlocking the door in front of him. The child quickly followed him.

Her room, was also sparsely furnished, but it at least had color. It was a dark red, with one wall painted black. The two chairs and table were black, but there were bright red cushions on the chairs. The bed, in the middle of the one black wall, was black, but it had been painted with grey kunai a foot off the left edge of the back board. In the painting, their was a bright red ribbon tied to the weapon. It wove across and in between each section of the string was an image, each of Ninetailed ninja. One of which she recognized and the tears began to fill her eyes as she focused on it. A hand landed on her shoulder, "This was your father's room. He was in this squad." A pair of small red eyes met with larger green ones. "He would have wanted you here."

She nodded, rubbing her eyes to keep the tears from falling. Looking around, she noticed something. "Why are there no windows?"

"It would be easier for enemy ninja to attack if there were." She nodded as he handed her a key to the room. "Don't loose it. I'll give you a few minutes to unpack, before taking you to meet the others." With that said he left the room, closing the door behind him.

Silver quickly put her cat on the bed and opened her sack. She pulled out two different outfits and hung them in the closet, but she noticed something, there was a small red jacket hanging up in the back corner of it.

Hesitantly, the girl grabbed the jacket and the thing behind it, pulling it out of the closet. Eyeing it closely, the jacket itself was made of a very light and strong material and it looked like it would fit her. She couldn't resist the urge to try it on. So she grabbed a black sleeveless shirt Ari bought her, put that on, then put the vest on, it fit. Looking at what had been hiding behind it, she grabbed the black skirt with the bright red trim, that would match the vest and put that on as well. To her surprise, it wasn't a skirt, but a skort, because it had black stretchy shorts attached to it. Looking back into the closet, she found a pair of black boots. They were really tall, reaching up to the middle of her thigh, though no one would know this as the skirt came down to her knees.

A knock at her door, told her that it was time to go, grabbing her forehead protector, her sign of being a ninja, she tied around her stomach, as she reached the door. The white material surrounding the engraved metal went nicely with the rest of her outfit. He was about to enter the room, when the door opened revealing Silver in full scale ninja attire, through she didn't know it. Raising an eyebrow he asked, "Where did you get that?"

"It was hanging up in the back of the closet." He nodded and led her downstairs, surprised by his old partner's intuition. Leading her to a large room, that held a large table, a couch, a TV, and a full scale kitchen, but they weren't the only ones in the room. There were four others. Two girls and two boys, they were all Shinobi No Mono as they all wore masks and the standard attire. "Captain, who is this?" one of them asked.

"Relax, this is my student, Silver Kayou. She will be staying here." They nodded as they removed their masks. One of them had black hair and brown eyes, "Hi!" He stated happily, "I'm Takai Zenshou."

She smiled, though they knew it was fake, "Hello Takai-sempi."

A brown haired girl with blue eyes stated, "Mihi, weapons expert."

"Kali." The other girl was blond with hazel eyes and she smiled sweetly. "Master of Seduction."

Her attention was suddenly brought to a pair of gold eyes staring at her, "You may call me Fox. Master of stealth and interrogation." She nodded, but those gold eyes scared her, because that was all she could see. The rest of his face was covered by a mask and his head was covered by a hood. Add that he was the Master of interrogation and you had someone she wanted to avoid if possible. That thought vanished as he stood from his seat and slowly walked towards the small girl, before leaning down and looking into her eyes. "Are you Seishou's daughter?" The fear she felt, was overwhelming, but she fought it, keeping it mostly subdued, not trusting her voice, she could only nod. His eyes traveled over her. "You look like him." With that, he stood up and slowly walked off, leaving the small girl staring at his retreating form.

The soft laughter she heard from behind her, made her turn around, only to realize they were laughing at her. "We could feel your fear." Mihi stated. Silver's face turned bright red with embarrassment and her gaze shifted to her feet.

"Don't worry about it." Takai said, still laughing slightly.  She just nodded. This girl confused him, she just seemed to go along with whatever was said and he didn't like it. The hand reaching for her chin, didn't give her time to react, before her head was slowly pulled up and she was looking into Takai's eyes. "We all start out being that scared of him. It's natural and one reason he's such a good ninja." The shock wore off quickly and she nodded again, as he released her chin. She gave him a small smile. It was small and full of the sadness she'd felt over the years, but it was a real smile. The others took note of this, but said nothing.

The rest of the day had carried on with Silver learning where everything was and being forced to demonstrate her skills to her sensei. It was late by the time she was allowed to go to her room. Where she finished unpacking, before crawling into bed and hugging her stuffed cat. It wasn't long before she fell asleep.

A soft tap was heard, it wasn't even loud enough to be heard if you were right next to the sound, but she heard it and her eyes shot open. The tap was followed by the sound of feet continuing down the hall, towards the stairs. Jumping out of bed, she grabbed her cat and swiftly but silently opened her door. Not wanting to risk losing whoever she was chasing she didn't even bother to shut the door. The footsteps had gone up the stairs, where she hadn't been. She had only been told that it wasn't interesting, but she was chasing someone and decided to continue.

Reaching the top of the stairs she peered down the hall, only to see a figure turn a corner and so she continued down the hall, speeding up till she reached the corner. She cautiously stuck her head around the corner. Only to see nothing, but she knew her opponent was there. He couldn't see her, he couldn't smell her and he definitely couldn't hear her, but he knew she was there, because she didn't know how to hide her chakra signature, but the fact that even he could only detect her by that, was surprising. Deciding to see what she would do, he showed only enough of himself to let her know he was there. "I know you're there."

Fear swept over her, she didn't know who he was, but now she didn't want to find out. There was no choice though, if she ran, he would find her, if she charged, he would find her, it seemed that her best option was to stand out and face him, but first she needed to calm herself. Tightly hugging her cat, she set the stuffed animal down before slowly stepping out into the middle of the small hall. "Who are you?"

"I am no one."

"If you were no one, you wouldn't be here. So you must be someone." she replied nonchalantly.

He smirked, 'This could be fun.' "I am someone, but do you know who I am?"

"I wouldn't have asked if I did."

"I see. Who are you?"

"I am no one you need to know."

"Interesting answer," Fox paused as he thought of something, "What if I already know who you are?"

"Then you wouldn't have asked."

He snickered at her answer, "I could be asking just to see how you would be respond."

"Then who do you think I am?"

"Silver Kayou, daughter of Seishou Kayou and Tanrei Trellex, you have two sisters, one is your twin Serena and the other is your dead younger sister, Serendipity. You are a genin in Taishu, but were born in Mikki. Six years old born on November 29th. How's that?"

Her eyes grew wide, "H-how...do you know that?"

"Not bad, Silver. until just now, when someone knows you, you shouldn't respond in surprise or fear." "Sen-sensei?" The figure shook his head and stepped into the small amount of light there was in the hall. "Fox-san?" he nodded. "Grab your cat and follow me." She did as she was told. He led her to a window, of which he opened, before gently picking her up and jumping out onto the roof. From the way she clung to him, he could tell she wasn't used to heights. Fox set her down on the roof, before sitting next to the child. "Why were you following me?" "I heard someone outside and I was curious about what it was." "That type of curiosity can get you killed." Seeing her look down sadly, he continued, "You didn't know and that's the kind of mistake that can be made here." She looked up at him and smiled, "Thank you Fox-san." He patted her head, "Where did you learn to be so good at stealth?" The confusion on her face, told him that she didn't know what he was talking about. "The only reason I knew you were there was because of your chakra signature and even that I could barely feel." "My what?" "You don't know what a chakra signature is?" she shook her head, "Each person's chakra is slightly different, this difference gives off a unique feel to someone who's good at sensing it." "Really?" He nodded, "Now how did you learn to do that?" "My dad wanted to teach me jutsu but my mother wouldn't have it. So when he gave me scrolls to learn from, I had to learn to keep my mother from realizing what was going on."

"I see, Seishou, was a great ninja and a great leader, it would seem that he was a great father too." Her eyes sought answers from him. "He was a good a friend of mine." The two stopped talking after that and just looked at the stars. Fox was off in his own world, until he felt something leaning against him. Looking down, he noticed that the child was fast asleep.

'I forgot she was still a child, she doesn't act like it. This must be the result of what she underwent. I wonder what exactly happened. All anyone knows is that she killed him. That was all the poor girl could say. We later learned that she meant her mother, but what happened? Why would that happen?'

Deciding he had spent enough time on the roof, he gently lifted the child and her cat, before returning her to her bed.
